The QSP Elk pairs 14C28N steel with the Glyde lock, a crossbar mechanism that locks up solidly and releases with an ambidextrous push rather than a one-sided liner or frame lock. 14C28N takes a fine edge easily and resists corrosion well, a sensible choice for a knife that’ll see regular use rather than sit in a drawer. The colourful micarta handle brings a mix of flecked tones to an otherwise purely functional knife, adding some personality without resorting to anodised colours or coatings that wear off. Ceramic bearings keep the thumb-stud deployment smooth, and the clip reverses for either-hand carry.
