The ancient Scandinavian Seax blade design was the go-to for Norther European seafarers and warriors alike. It was always carried at the ready and was the equivalent to today’s multitools. You can see this blade cleaning a fish, notching a bow, cutting a strap of leather for a sword handle as well as opening a box, envelope or whittling on a walking stick. The straight edge is as relevant and utilitarian today as it was centuries ago.
